I. Background
催乳素（PRL、Prolactin）是一种经典的垂体激素，主要由垂体的乳酸营养细胞合成并分泌。作为多效性蛋白质，PRL 在哺乳，繁殖，渗透调节，免疫反应，脑功能，代谢和血管生成的许多生理过程中既充当循环激素。也可当做细胞因子。催乳素可以促进促甲状腺激素释放激素（TRH）、雌激素、血管活性肠肽（VIP）的分泌，但是也可以抑制多巴胺的分泌。 PRL 与催乳素受体（PRLR）结合，并启动相应的细胞内信号转导过程以实现其生物学功能。催乳素受体和生长激素受体属于 I 型细胞因子受体超家族。PRL（催乳素）结合细胞膜上的 PRLR 后，PRLR 二聚化并激活偶联的 JAK2 激酶，引发自身及受体磷酸化，进而招募并磷酸化 STATs。磷酸化的 STATs 形成二聚体，转位至细胞核内调控靶基因（如 Cyclin D1），促进乳腺发育及乳汁合成。

II. Description
