| Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-like cytokine 1A (TL1A)/TNF superfamily member 15 (TNFSF15) is a proinflammatory cytokine and a member of the TNFα superfamily, as it was originally characterized in a screen for novel molecules with homology to TNFα. | |

| TL1A is expressed on activated T cells, dendritic cells, and monocytes, as well as induced by TNFα and interleukin (IL)1α in Huvec cells in vitro.In contrast to the TNFα receptors, which are expressed on essentially all cells, the receptor for TL1A, death receptor 3 (DR3), is primarily expressed on T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and NK T (NKT) cells, thereby limiting the effects of TL1A. | |
