I. Background
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), also known as vascular permeability factor (VPF), is a highly specific vascular endothelial cell growth factor that promotes increased vascular permeability, extracellular Matrix degeneration, vascular endothelial cell migration, proliferation and angiogenesis. KDR (Kinase Insert Domain Receptor) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with KDR include Hemangioma, Capillary Infantile and Angioma, Tufted.
